With the heat wave upon us there is a surge in demand for cheap mini fans, and this demand looks set to increase. We have heard of fast fashion and its impact, but it seems the surge in fast tech items is leading to some worrying statistics as we use these in the moment events like heat waves to purchase items without thinking sustainably.

I spoke to consumer behaviour psychologist   Prof Catherine Jansson Boyd and Andrea Cheong, podcast host and sustainable fashion advocate to discuss this further.
