Horsell Scouts and Guides annual May Faye is a real fixture of the local community. Now in it's 46th Year, it raises money for local Guide and Scout Groups.
 
Dougal, Elwood Toby and Libby came to the studio to tell more more about this years event which takes place on Mon 04 May on the Wheatsheaf Recreation Ground in Horsell.

Woking Community Grocery - Bridging the Gap between Foodbanks and Supermarkets.

I spoke to Dub Everitt from Welcome  Church in Woking. They have worked with the Message Trust to open a community Grocery project on the church campus in central Woking. Dub told me how the membership system works and how food is available for to those who need it for less than supermarkets. This not only  helps families put food on their tables and empowering themselves through a wrap around support package of support and courses.

Nosrano Lounge - Community Connections in Staines Upon Thames

Stephen Ashley is the head chef at Nostrano Lounge in Staines. He told how important the local community is to Nostrano Lounge and other Lounges across the country.
In Staines they have many community incentives  including a post box for customers to write positive messages which are send to care home residents.
