200 musicians from across the word came together to stand united with Ukraine and those affected by the war through the power of music.

Matt and I spoke to Stephen Ireland from local homeless charity The York Road Project. Stephen told us about their latest fundraising campaign encouraging local people to hold a coffee event to raise awareness and money to support the work of the charity. We also discussed how a simple cuppa can help people feel more comfortable when it comes to opening u about their feelings.

The Knaphill, St John’s, Brookwood Volunteers Support Group was started by local resident Sonal Sher as news of the COVID-19 outbreak spread across the world, with national lockdowns. Sonal came to see us in the Radio Woking studio to tell us about the journey through the pandemic and looking the the future and how volunteering will look locally as restrictions ease.
