I travelled to Bournemouth  to catch up with Lydia who has Multiple  Sorosis. She told me about the condition and how it impacts her life. She shared her story as part of MS Awareness Week which was  earlier in April.

Based on the iconic 00's TV series, WAOS are putting in a production of  Bad Girls at Woking's Rhonda Mcgaw Theatre.
From the cast I chatted to Neil Gibson  Anna Moorley and Alex Gooden. 
They are all new to WAOS but not the the world of Amateur Theatre.

The off line evenings at The Olive Tree in Sutton Green promote community and conversation without being distracted by phones and notifications.

On the day of the London Marathon we revisited a previous conversation with Anthony and Lee Roake. Anthony was about to complete his third marathon in 15 days, supporting VICTAR a charity working with young people with visual impairment. VICTAR has supported Anthony's son Lee and this was the families way of giving something back.

The stage version of the iconic movie Mean Girls is touring the country and comes to Woking from 27th April until 2nd May.
Vivian Panka plays Regina George in the show and ahead of the tours visit to Woking Theatre she joined me for a chat.

If you are struggling with sleep it seems you are not alone. There is a sleep crisis in the UK with the average Brit getting  just 6.4 hours of sleep per night, despite needing 7.5 hours. For those with diagnosed health conditions, 18% say lack of sleep causes symptoms to worsen and 21% fall ill more easily44% of patients with a diagnosed condition who have used medical cannabis report a clinically significant improvement in sleep
To discuss this further I spoke to Dr Simon Erridge, Director of Research at Curaleaf Clinic

Annie Segal from Bookham reached out to us at Radio Woking as she wanted to raise awareness of  her  rare condition called Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome  - a  condition that she  got diagnosed when she was 3 years old. Annie spoke to Luke and I and  told us about living with RTS and how it impacts her life. We also spoke about living with learning disability and how she is currently working at a hotel who have made reasonable adjustments for her in her role.
