Around the Wards
One of the things I love abut Hospital Radio is how it offers a unique service to the patients. I enjoy getting into the wards and collecting requests. Also hearing (and recording) memories and stories from patients who come from a wide range of backgrounds.
I recently went to a ward in St Peters Hospital and was told by other patients that I had to chat to Nancy who had just turned 103. Born in 1914, Nancy has many tales to tell as this audio clip will show.
DISCLAIMER: Nancy's family have given permison for the photo and the audio to be used.

RADIO WEY
MONDAY 6TH MARCH 2016
So it's British Pie Week! Yes we are talking about the pie you eat not that confusing mathmatical thing we did at school. A week to celebrate (and eat) pies!
The next best thing to eating pies is chatting about them on the radio. I spoke to Sarah Pettergree of Brays Cottage Pork Pies based in Norfolk.
Sarah grew up around food and farming, and ended up quiting the rat race to make pork pies for a living. Yes the humple pork pie is now Sarah's bread and butter!
Sarah tells me how she grew her business, using local suppliers and training local people to make the pies.
Ten years on Sarah has not looked back, selling the pies across the county via independent retailers. If you visit her website www.perfectpie.co.uk you can findyour nearest stockist or even order pies online!
