For  a decade Kings Pre school has been serving the community on the site of the Byfleet Primary School.  It was announced at a meeting  in early June that the much loved and valued Pre school faces closure at the end of July due to demand for reception class places at the primary school.
I spoke to Jamie-Lee How and Carmen Albury. Both ladies have children at the pre school and talk about how the planned closure would affect them and the wider community.

The Surrey Hills Cow Parade is gearing up for action and will see a heard of decorated creatures popping up across the county.  Later in the year the cows will be put up for auction for charity, but before that  we will have a chance to go on a cow hunt with the special app for our phones.

The Basingstoke Canal is a real asset for us in Surrey and Hampshire. Whether  you walk  or cycle the tow path of this historic waterway it's hard not to be take  back by the pure beauty and tranquillity. The  stretch of the canal which passes through Woking town centre has seen extensive drainage works taking place, with  the water being drained. Fiona Ship is from the Basingstoke Canal Authority. She explains what's going on.
