Surrey Minority Ethnic Forum (SMEF) supports and represents the needs and aspirations of a growing 23.4% ethnic minority population in Surrey.  They  provide support for over 60 grassroot community groups, build relationships between faith groups, and run projects to help ethnic minority groups across the county. 
As part of Surrey Day 2026 SMEF held an event in Woking bringing the community and the organisations together to celebrate culture and diversity in Surrey. I spoke to some of the many guests to find out more about SMEF and the organisations they work with in Surrey and beyond.
